Bitcoin (BTC) closed at $76,709 on Nov. 2, about 2% below the prior day’s figure, as U.S. voters prepared to vote in the Nov. 3 federal general election.

The UTC-dated close was $1,585 below Bitcoin’s $78,294 close on Nov. 1. That decrease was about 2.02% of the previous close.

The election is scheduled for Nov. 3, 2026. The timing places the lower close ahead of the vote, but the dates alone do not establish that the election caused Bitcoin’s decline.
