Bitcoin and XRP had more bearish than bullish comments in Santiment’s sentiment readings, as the firm linked a Binance-related attack to a wider decline in crypto mood.

Bitcoin’s ratio of bullish to bearish comments was 0.69:1, while XRP’s was 0.61:1. Both readings were below 1:1, meaning bearish comments outnumbered bullish ones.

Ether’s ratio was 1.14:1, indicating that bullish comments still had the edge. Santiment described Ether’s reading as relatively healthier, though it had also fallen to that level.

Sentiment around Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and other major cryptocurrencies had weakened over nearly two months, Santiment said. The firm said the Binance-related attack accelerated that slide.
