The South Korean won strengthened against the dollar, closing at 1,341.0 won per dollar, down 2.8 won from the previous session.

On November 3, the dollar opened at 1,346.0 won, up 2.2 won from the previous close of 1,343.8 won, indicating an initially weaker won. It closed at 1,341.0 won, a decline of 5.0 won from the open.

The exchange rate remained near the bottom of its yearly range, between a low of 1,323.1 won and a high of 1,555.8 won. It stood about 8% of the way up that range and was 77.4 won below the August 10 level of 1,418.4 won.
