Copper futures on the London Metal Exchange touched $13,883 per metric ton on Nov. 3, an 11-week low, as a technology-stock selloff weighed on risk appetite and the outlook for demand.

At their weakest point during the session, the contracts were down 3.2% and had fallen below $14,000 per metric ton. The $13,883 intraday low was copper’s lowest level since Aug. 19.

Technology shares also declined, adding to uncertainty about demand for the metal. The move put pressure on copper alongside the weakness in stocks.
