Eaton Vance Floating-Rate Income Trust (NYSE: EFT) raised its monthly distribution by about 1.4% to $0.071 per share, setting a Nov. 30 payment for shareholders of record Nov. 16.

Eaton Vance declared the distribution Nov. 2, an increase of $0.001 from the previous $0.070 payment. Nov. 16 is both the ex-dividend date and record date. Buyers on or after the ex-dividend date are not entitled to that payment.

The trust listed an 8.02% distribution rate at market price alongside its $10.62 closing share price on Oct. 30. It seeks high current income and broad exposure to floating-rate loans, with capital preservation as a secondary objective.

The distribution amount is not a measure of investment performance and should not be confused with yield or income. Its tax classification may include income, capital gains or return of capital; the final tax treatment is determined after year-end.
