Investors in Eaton Vance Short Duration Diversified Income Fund (EVG) are set to receive $0.0713 per share for November after Eaton Vance raised the monthly distribution by $0.0002 on Nov. 2. The new amount is 0.28% above October’s $0.0711 payment, equivalent to a 0.3% increase when rounded.

The fund will pay on Nov. 30; shareholders must meet the Nov. 16 record date, which is also the ex-dividend date. The record date determines which shareholders qualify for the distribution, while the ex-dividend date marks when a buyer is no longer entitled to that payment.

EVG listed an 8.10% distribution rate at market price, based on its $10.56 closing share price on Oct. 30. The rate does not represent the fund’s yield or income, and the monthly distribution amount is not a measure of investment performance.

The fund’s policy targets stable monthly distributions and may include return of capital. Return of capital can erode the fund’s net asset value. The Nov. 2 announcement did not specify the tax character of this payment; the fund determines tax treatment after the calendar year ends.
