Eaton Vance raised the monthly distribution for Eaton Vance Tax-Managed Global Buy-Write Opportunities Fund (NYSE: ETW) to $0.0748 per share from $0.0664, a 12.7% increase. The company announced the change Nov. 2.

The increase is $0.0084 per share. Eaton Vance set Nov. 16 as both the ex-dividend date and the record date, with payment scheduled for Nov. 30.

The fund’s distribution rate at market price was listed at 9.62%, based on ETW’s $9.33 closing share price on Oct. 30. Its primary objective is current income and gains, while capital appreciation is a secondary objective. The strategy includes investing in U.S. and international stocks and writing index call options.

Eaton Vance cautioned that distributions may differ from the fund’s net investment returns and “should not be used as a measure of performance or confused with ‘yield’ or ‘income.’”
