UBS Says Blue Wave Expectations May Hinder AI Investment
The bank also sees a risk of deeper political deadlock and more bargaining over the debt ceiling and fiscal policy.

UBS sees rising expectations of a Democratic “blue wave” in the U.S. midterm elections adding to market risk aversion and potentially creating more resistance to artificial intelligence and data center investment.
The bank said Nov. 4 that markets were responding to the prospect of a stronger Democratic showing. It identified investment in AI and data centers as an area that could face greater political friction.
UBS also said deadlock over the debt ceiling and fiscal policy could intensify, along with negotiations and bargaining over those issues.
