Trade[XYZ] announced Oct. 1 that its DIESEL perpetual market had gone live, giving traders a contract referencing the U.S.-dollar price of one U.S. gallon of New York Harbor ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD).

Trade[XYZ] described the launch this way: “DIESEL is now live. 10x leverage, 24/7, 365.” A price reference alone does not establish ownership of, or delivery of, physical fuel.

New York Harbor ULSD futures serve as a benchmark for pricing distillates, including diesel, heating oil and jet fuel. CME Group’s listed ULSD futures contract covers 42,000 gallons and is quoted in U.S. dollars and cents per gallon. Those specifications apply to the futures contract, not Trade[XYZ]’s perpetual market.

About 66.5% of trading across the broader platform took place outside regular New York Stock Exchange hours during the nearly 90 complete days ended Oct. 28. That figure covers Trade[XYZ]’s markets collectively, not DIESEL specifically.
