U.S. stock indexes moved in different directions Thursday, with the Nasdaq’s intraday decline reaching 1.53%, the steepest move among the three major benchmarks, while the Dow rose and the S&P 500 slipped.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.34%, while the S&P 500 fell 0.33%. The Nasdaq’s decline was the largest move among the three indexes.

The indexes also diverged during an earlier session on Oct. 15, when the Nasdaq fell 1.29% intraday as the Dow gained 0.50% (a previous session of mixed U.S. index moves). Thursday’s figures are intraday readings, not closing results.
