Hyperliquid generated a record $521,000 in priority fees on Nov. 5, with the fees accounting for a record 12.7% of the platform’s daily revenue during a sharp U.S. stock selloff.

The $521,000 total set a single-day high for the platform. Priority fees also made up a record share of daily revenue, marking the highest proportion recorded for one day. The dollar total and revenue share are separate measures: one describes fees collected, while the other shows their portion of platform revenue.

Priority fees are extra payments users make to validators or the protocol to have transactions processed sooner. Users may pay them when a network is congested or traders are competing to get transactions processed first.

On Nov. 5, liquidation bots, arbitrageurs and other traders sought faster execution amid a steep selloff in U.S. stocks. That market turmoil coincided with the record fees as users competed for transaction priority.
