Ether (ETH) fell 8.68% over the prior 24 hours to $2,220.01 by 2:14 a.m. ET Friday (07:14 UTC), moving below several short-term trend measures while remaining above its 200-day average.

ETH ranged from $2,206.28 to $2,434.91 over the same 24-hour period. Its price was below the 7-day, 20-day and 50-day averages, as well as the 12-day and 26-day exponential moving averages. The 200-day simple moving average stood at $2,157.58.

On Binance Futures, open interest rose 10.41% over 24 hours to 2,348,602.38 contracts, valued at about $5.73 billion. Global accounts were 79.7% long and 20.3% short; top-trader accounts showed the same split. Funding was 0.0100%.

The open-interest increase shows more contracts remained open, but does not establish whether traders’ positions are correct. Ether was also near the lower Bollinger Band at $2,181.76, while its 14-day relative strength index was 38.33, a neutral reading closer to oversold than overbought. The futures figures describe Binance accounts, not the broader Ether market.
