SoftBank’s 2032 Dollar Bond Drops Most in 10 Weeks Amid AI Selloff
Asian investment-grade dollar-bond spreads reached 73 basis points Thursday, their highest level since July 2025.

SoftBank Group’s 2032 dollar bond fell 0.9 cent Friday, Nov. 6, its steepest one-day decline in 10 weeks, as an AI-driven stock selloff pushed into Asian credit markets.
SoftBank bonds were among Asia’s weakest performers, and the company’s shares fell as much as 16%. Yield premiums on Asian dollar bonds widened by at least 3 basis points.
Credit-default swap prices tied to some U.S. companies affected by the AI stock selloff had jumped before the bond moves. On Thursday, Nov. 5, the average spread on Asian investment-grade dollar bonds climbed to 73 basis points, its highest level since July 2025.
The declines extend a wider repricing in global credit markets. The AI boom has driven heavy corporate borrowing and higher financing yields. The credit-market selloff remained less severe than the stock-market selloff.
