Coinbase’s Ether (ETH) spot order book showed a $3.56 million excess of buy orders over sell orders Friday, Nov. 6, while the same snapshot priced ETH at $2,224.44.
The book showed $12,569,400 in bids, or buy orders, and $9,012,300 in asks, or sell orders. That left $3,557,100 more in bids than asks.
Binance’s spot book also had more bids than asks, but its overall order-book scale was smaller than Coinbase’s. The reading captured a single point in time. Large orders can have a greater effect on thinner books, where price moves may be more pronounced.
