The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index remained below zero for a 44th consecutive day Nov. 7, showing a persistent discount that can reflect weaker U.S. buying or stronger selling pressure.

The index registered -0.17%, compared with -0.2434% on Oct. 31. The streak lengthened while the price gap narrowed. The index had recorded 39 consecutive negative days in a Nov. 1 update.

The measure compares Bitcoin (BTC) prices on Coinbase Pro and Binance. A negative reading means Bitcoin was priced lower on Coinbase Pro. The indicator can reflect softer U.S. buying or stronger selling pressure, but by itself it does not establish that investors or institutions are moving funds out of Bitcoin.

The current run follows a 97-day stretch of negative readings that ended Aug. 24, when the index briefly turned positive at 0.0052%.
