Non-commercial traders increased their net short position in five-year U.S. Treasury note futures by 246,314 contracts as of Nov. 3.

The 246,314-contract increase was in net short positions.

The figures describe positions and do not establish why traders held them.

The latest figures add a new snapshot to TokenPost’s earlier coverage of Treasury futures positioning. That story described rising open interest in five- and 10-year Treasury futures and asset managers adding more than 100,000 short 10-year contracts for the week ended Sept. 22.
