Bitwise CEO Predicts $50 Trillion Future for Bitcoin

Bitwise CEO Hunter Horsley has sparked new excitement with a bold forecast: Bitcoin (BTC) could reach a $50 trillion valuation if it fully matures as a digital alternative to the U.S. dollar. Horsley emphasized that Bitcoin’s potential extends beyond the "digital gold" narrative, which would cap its value near gold’s $23 trillion market. Instead, he sees Bitcoin competing with U.S. Treasuries and the dollar itself, which together represent a market of around $50 trillion.

This outlook aligns with Bitwise’s strategy. Under Horsley’s leadership, Bitwise’s flagship Bitcoin ETF (BITB) holds over 39,000 BTC, valued at approximately $3.67 billion, signaling strong conviction beyond words.

Interestingly, Bitcoin's price behavior has also evolved. Once driven mainly by halving cycles and retail hype, Bitcoin is now increasingly moving in sync with global M2 liquidity trends.
