The former child actor turned crypto mogul recently hosted a strange press conference defending New York City mayor Eric Adams—just days after donating more than $1 million to his campaign. The twist? Adams dropped out of the race less than a week later, rendering Pierce’s massive donation meaningless.

Rather than backing down, Pierce announced he would spearhead a “Draft Eric Back” movement. He refused to reclaim his donation and expressed shock at what he described as “the blindness of this city” after Adams conceded defeat. His speech was filled with peculiar asides, including attacks on Adams’ former chief of staff Frank Carone, whom he accused of sabotaging the campaign.
