Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson has pushed back against growing criticism of the blockchain, declaring that the network will “win this fight” as ADA stages a strong price recovery and developers pursue closer cooperation with Ethereum.

Speaking during a recent interview on The Breakdown with David Gokhshtein, Hoskinson addressed claims that Cardano is becoming less relevant in the competitive cryptocurrency market. Critics have pointed to ADA’s steep decline from previous highs, governance disagreements and difficulties faced by projects within the Cardano ecosystem.

Hoskinson rejected those concerns and urged the community to focus on Cardano’s long-term development rather than short-term market performance. Responding to questions about whether the blockchain can recover and remain competitive, he said, “Don’t bet against me, we’re gonna win this fight.”

ADA’s recent performance has strengthened that argument. Cardano’s native cryptocurrency climbed roughly 26% over the past week, reflecting a broader improvement in investor sentiment toward the asset.

Development efforts are also continuing. Ouroboros Leios is designed to significantly increase Cardano’s transaction-processing capacity, while Hydra remains one of the network’s major Layer-2 scaling initiatives. Both technologies are intended to improve efficiency as Cardano competes with Ethereum, Solana and other blockchain platforms for users and developers.

Hoskinson also signaled a more cooperative approach toward Ethereum after years of rivalry between the two communities. He said Cardano developers would be willing to collaborate with Ethereum researchers on integrating Cardano’s UTXO-based technology.

According to Hoskinson, such cooperation would not require financial arrangements or apologies for previous disagreements. Instead, he described it as a straightforward academic and engineering partnership that could potentially deliver a functioning integration within months.

An Ethereum-Cardano collaboration could expand the reach of technology developed within the Cardano ecosystem while improving interoperability between the two major blockchain networks. For Cardano, a successful integration could also strengthen its case that the ecosystem remains technologically relevant despite criticism surrounding ADA and its market position.
