Matt Damon to Join Ripple Swell 2026 in New York

Academy Award-winning actor and humanitarian Matt Damon is set to appear at Ripple Swell 2026, adding a high-profile name to the blockchain company's flagship event in New York City.

Ripple Swell will take place from October 27 to 29, 2026, bringing together executives from global finance, cryptocurrency, fintech and blockchain development. This year marks the first time Ripple is combining its Swell conference with the XRPL Apex developer summit, creating a single event for institutional leaders and developers building on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

According to the official Swell speaker lineup, Damon will appear alongside Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, President Monica Long and CTO Emeritus David Schwartz. Damon is also co-founder of Water.org, a nonprofit organization that has an existing partnership with Ripple.

Other prominent speakers include Bullish Chairman and CEO Tom Farley, Robinhood crypto executive Johann Kerbrat, BNY Global Head of Markets Laide Majiyagbe, ICE Vice President Michael Blaugrund and former Reserve Bank of India Governor Raghuram Rajan.

Ripple's Swell team also recently added Aviva Senior Investment Director Alastair Sewell, Susquehanna Crypto CEO Chase Lax, Water.org CEO and co-founder Gary White, and PEAK6 co-founder Jenny Just to the speaker roster.

Damon's connection to Water.org could make his Ripple Swell appearance particularly relevant beyond his celebrity profile. In October 2025, Ripple said Water.org and other humanitarian organizations were using Ripple Payments and the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin to improve the speed, transparency and efficiency of funding and aid distribution. Details about Damon's specific discussion at Swell have not yet been disclosed.

The upcoming conference comes as Ripple continues expanding its institutional financial services. The company recently launched Delta One within Ripple Prime, its global multi-asset prime brokerage platform. The service allows institutional clients to execute Total Return Swaps involving U.S.-listed equities, indices and digital assets.

With Ripple Swell and XRPL Apex now combined, the October event is positioned to connect traditional finance, institutional crypto markets and the XRP Ledger developer ecosystem under one roof.
