Tom Lee Says Ethereum’s Value Extends Beyond Transaction Fees

Bitmine Chairman Tom Lee said Robinhood chose Ethereum infrastructure for its security and liquidity, highlighting a broader role for the network beyond transaction fees.
Lee said Ethereum does not need to maximize gas fees or extract more value from projects built on the network to support its growth. His comments present security, liquidity and utility as central parts of Ethereum’s value proposition.
He also said Ether (ETH) is gradually developing into a store-of-value asset. Users hold ETH because it has practical uses and the potential to appreciate, Lee said.
The remarks suggest that transaction fees are only one part of how Ethereum’s value is measured. They also connect the network’s infrastructure role with Ether’s use as an asset.
