Martin Carrica Joins Coinbase to Lead Stablecoin Distribution Efforts

Martin Carrica is joining Coinbase as its stablecoin lead, where he will focus on expanding stablecoin distribution and influence as the company develops its efforts around the technology.

Carrica spent four years working on regulated stablecoin projects at Mountain Protocol and Anchorage before moving to Coinbase. Anchorage is a licensed crypto institution, while Mountain Protocol is a stablecoin issuer.

Carrica described stablecoins as highly transformative. He said they have achieved considerable success, but their scale remains relatively small.

He said he would work to scale the technology in his new role.
