Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev said the company has not deliberately backed particular projects on Robinhood Chain, as it seeks to attract developers while keeping the platform neutral and lowering fees.

Tenev said Robinhood wants to help developers and reduce fees as much as possible. He also said he believed developer activity on Robinhood Chain ranked first, though he did not specify the measure or comparison group.

The team’s priority, Tenev said, is to bring people to the network and make it as strong as possible.

Robinhood Chain’s public mainnet launched July 1, 2026. The permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 network uses Arbitrum technology. By the end of August, more than 340,000 tokens had been issued on the network, while Robinhood’s 27 million funded accounts had yet to show broad participation.
