Independent investor Craig Tindale argues that U.S. reliance on foreign sources of critical metals poses a security risk, linking domestic manufacturing capacity to competition in AI and defense.

Tindale questions whether the country can produce military equipment, robots and AI hardware without relying on overseas suppliers. Drawing on Alexander Hamilton and Dwight Eisenhower, he makes a case for rebuilding U.S. industry.

He describes AI as a contest involving automation and defensive capabilities. In his view, access to critical metals and the ability to make equipment at home are part of that contest.

Tindale also discusses rising yields, Operation Twist and the idea of a new Treasury-Federal Reserve accord. He focuses on domestic savers when considering who would bear the cost of financial repression.

Stablecoins and the GENIUS Act feature in his discussion of a more fragmented global order. He considers Bitcoin (BTC) alongside gold, silver and copper in a discussion of diversification and capital protection.
