Joe Weisenthal Sees Hyperliquid as a Potential Finance Network
Hyperliquid Labs co-founder Jeff Yan has described a model for financial firms to run markets on the network while keeping their customer relationships.

Financial commentator Joe Weisenthal sees neutral blockchains such as Hyperliquid as possible infrastructure for traditional financial markets, extending blockchain’s use beyond cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin (BTC).
His view focuses on blockchains as shared technology for financial activity beyond crypto markets. Hyperliquid runs on its own blockchain. Hyperliquid Labs co-founder and CEO Jeff Yan has described a model for financial firms to operate markets on the network while retaining their customer relationships.
On Oct. 15, Yan said Hyperliquid’s terms bar Americans who connect using a virtual private network (VPN). He also said compliant U.S. access depends on regulators assessing on-chain systems against the CFTC’s core principles.
