JAN3 CEO Samson Mow argued Oct. 21 that Strategy and other Bitcoin treasury companies are undervalued, describing their continued buying as a force in the competition for a finite supply of Bitcoin (BTC).

Mow characterized treasury firms as buyers that keep accumulating through different market conditions. He also said periods of low Bitcoin prices are the best time to launch a treasury company or a Bitcoin bond. He pointed to sovereign interest in Bitcoin as another source of competition for the asset.

Strategy shareholders own equity in the company, not a right to a fixed amount of Bitcoin. Debt, preferred stock and share issuance also affect their exposure to the company’s holdings, as outlined in an explanation of shareholder exposure to Strategy.
