Forgent Power Solutions named Executive Vice President of Finance Amy Ard its chief financial officer Wednesday, Oct. 21, after CFO Ryan Fiedler agreed to leave the post and stay with the company during the transition.

Fiedler will remain employed through Friday, Oct. 30, to help hand off responsibilities, then leave Forgent. He plans to move into external consulting. “I am looking forward to spending more time with my family in the coming months,” Fiedler said. His departure was not related to a disagreement over the company’s operations, policies or practices.

Ard has served as Forgent’s executive vice president of finance since January 2026. She has more than 25 years of senior finance and accounting experience. Fiedler had held the CFO role since July 30, 2025.

Forgent expects to enter an employment agreement with Ard for an initial five-year term. The planned terms include a $550,000 annual base salary and eligibility for an annual cash bonus of up to 85% of base salary. A one-time equity grant with a $500,000 target value is scheduled for Nov. 1, split equally between restricted stock units and stock options.

Forgent, listed on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker FPS, makes electrical distribution equipment for data centers, the power grid and energy-intensive industrial facilities.
