David Schwartz Says XRP Could Link Bitcoin Versions on XRPL

He described financial success for the XRP Ledger without high demand and value for XRP as highly unlikely.

Ripple CTO emeritus David Schwartz said XRP could connect different Bitcoin (BTC) representations on the XRP Ledger (XRPL), giving the token a possible role even if Bitcoin dominates global settlement.

Schwartz argued that wrapped or bridged forms of Bitcoin on XRPL might rely on XRP to move between them. He described it as highly unlikely that the ledger could succeed in financial applications while XRP failed to gain high demand and value.
