She attributed the sell-off to financing concerns after the April-to-June rally and forecast that an AI bubble could pop in 2027.

Technology stocks could face further near-term losses, but Sara Awad of Tech Contrarians said any potential opportunities would depend on company fundamentals as investors grow more selective.

In an interview published Oct. 27, Awad described the sell-off as a correction after the April-to-June rally and said financing concerns mattered more than company earnings.

She cited lenders’ concerns about potential defaults tied to artificial intelligence expansion, along with rising U.S. Treasury yields and inflation.

Awad also forecast that an AI bubble could pop in 2027, linking the risk to financing pressure rather than a collapse in demand. The view echoes earlier caution around AI dip-buying, which focused on data-center costs and financing strains.
