Cameron Winklevoss Calls for Zcash to End ZCG, Focus on Privacy
He described tokenholder voting as the on-chain version of a capital-markets practice used for hundreds of years. Winklevoss Asset also filed for a proposed direct-hold ZEC ETF.

Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss urged Zcash to focus on privacy and called for ZCG to end, arguing governance experiments distract from the project's core mission.
Winklevoss pointed to hundreds of years of stakeholder voting in capital markets and described tokenholder ballots as the blockchain-based version of that practice. He said governance experiments should not define Zcash's work, and called ZCG a distraction with goals that are out of alignment.
In a separate filing, Winklevoss Asset submitted an S-1 registration statement to the SEC for a proposed exchange-traded fund that would hold ZEC directly. The fund is planned to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker WINK, charge a 0.25% fee and use Gemini Trust Company as custodian.
