ADA content creator Big Pey says Charles Hoskinson may be shifting more of his time and resources from Cardano (ADA) toward Midnight because of repeated disputes with Cardano institutions.

Big Pey says the Cardano Foundation has repeatedly impeded Hoskinson’s initiatives. He also criticized EMURGO after a hack involving its DeFi project, SecondFi, and described the organization as incompetent. His criticism came after the incident; it did not establish that EMURGO was responsible for the hack. TokenPost previously covered Hoskinson’s position on SecondFi losses.

Big Pey’s claim concerns a possible change in how Hoskinson allocates his attention, funding and development effort. He portrays Midnight as an opportunity to work around institutional and organizational problems he sees in Cardano. The claim does not describe a complete break with the ecosystem.

The disagreements have involved the Cardano Foundation’s commercial strategy, funding priorities and development direction. Hoskinson has criticized the Foundation’s approach to stablecoin integrations and other ecosystem initiatives. Governance and funding disagreements have also contributed to tensions between them.

Hoskinson has also supported a Cardano Foundation proposal to fund the 2026 Cardano Summit, although voters did not approve it. He has defended Cardano’s decentralized governance model and argued that progress depends on participation across the ecosystem.

Hoskinson has publicly backed Midnight and disclosed a personal investment of $200 million in the project. His public remarks have also covered work involving Midnight and RealFi, alongside integrations with Circle, Pyth and Fireblocks. Those actions show his involvement in both Midnight and Cardano initiatives, while Big Pey’s claim remains a view about how Hoskinson may divide his future effort.
