WisdomTree Digital Trust has moved the proposed effectiveness date for its WisdomTree 500 Digital ETF registration to Oct. 18, 2026, extending the regulatory timetable without confirming a launch or exchange listing.

The trust filed a Form N-1A post-effective amendment Sept. 18, 2026. The filing says it was submitted solely to delay effectiveness until Oct. 18, 2026, for an earlier amendment filed May 12, 2026, under Rule 485(b)(1)(iii).

The amendment does not confirm that the fund will launch on that date, receive Securities and Exchange Commission approval or begin trading on an exchange. The registration documents also do not provide a ticker symbol, principal listing venue, management fee or separate launch date.

The proposed fund would track the WisdomTree 500 Index before fees and expenses. Its prospectus states that the fund cannot be sold until its registration statement becomes effective and that the SEC had neither approved nor rejected the securities.

The product is part of WisdomTree’s Digital Funds structure, which uses blockchain-integrated recordkeeping for fund shares. The structure may use Stellar or Ethereum for that recordkeeping, while the funds do not directly or indirectly invest in cryptocurrencies or other assets that rely on blockchain technology.

WisdomTree had approximately $162.9 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026. Its broader digital-fund structure includes a registered investment trust, an SEC-registered adviser, a broker-dealer and a transfer agent.

In February 2026, the SEC granted WisdomTree exemptions allowing qualifying dealers to transact in certain digital-fund shares at $1.00 per share instead of the next-calculated net asset value, subject to conditions.

The next stated milestone for the proposed WisdomTree 500 Digital ETF is Oct. 18, 2026, when the registration statement’s proposed effectiveness date arrives.
