Québec Regulator Warns Pump.fun Is Not Authorized to Solicit Investors
The alert identifies Pump.fun, also known as Baton Corporation LTD, as a high-risk crypto-asset platform but does not announce a website or wallet-access ban.

Québec’s securities regulator warned Sept. 25 that Pump.fun is not registered with the regulator and is not authorized to solicit investors in Québec, placing the platform under a regional securities warning without announcing a broader ban.
Pump.fun, also known as Baton Corporation LTD, is identified as a high-risk crypto-asset platform, and pump.fun is listed as its website. The finding applies to investors in Québec, a province whose securities regulator oversees authorization for firms and individuals operating there.
The warning does not announce that Pump.fun’s website will be shut down or that users will lose access to wallets. It also does not establish a Canada-wide prohibition or enforcement action against the platform.
Prospective investors can consult the Autorité des marchés financiers’ registers to determine whether a firm or individual is authorized to operate. The regulatory notice addresses authorization to solicit Québec investors, rather than declaring that the platform has been banned in the province.
Users interact directly with smart contracts through wallets they control. Transactions are initiated and authorized by users. Pump entities do not present themselves as broker-dealers, exchanges or investment advisers, while the platform does not offer or solicit securities.
The regulatory finding and the platform’s contractual description address different issues. No additional access restriction or broader Canadian action is announced in connection with the warning.
