AMC Entertainment CEO Adam Aron urged Robinhood to preserve voting rights for tokenized stocks in its international business, arguing that the company should follow the same principles it supports in the United States.

Aron addressed Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev and Chief Legal Officer Dan Gallagher in a post on X. He said Robinhood has supported the Securities and Exchange Commission’s position that tokenized U.S. stocks should carry voting rights and that companies should be able to opt out.

Aron said applying a different standard to overseas tokenized stocks would be hypocritical. He also urged Robinhood not to disregard or openly challenge the SEC’s position.

Robinhood Chain supports Robinhood’s international Stock Tokens through a permissionless Ethereum Layer 2 network available in more than 120 countries, subject to local restrictions. The Stock Tokens are not available in the United States or to U.S. persons.
