Pretty Good Policy for Zcash has registered executive director Divij Pandya as a federal lobbyist, putting its stated focus on Zcash, privacy and developer protections into a formal federal filing.

The registration took effect Oct. 1, 2026. It lists the group’s activity areas as Zcash ecosystem development, developer protections and financial privacy.

The filing names three specific lobbying issues: H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act; the Aligning Digital Assets with Principles of Taxation Act; and the Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act. It identifies the group’s declared scope but does not establish that Pretty Good Policy for Zcash influenced legislation or policy.

The group requested $750,000 for a 12-month grant on Aug. 21. A Zcash Community Grants committee member announced approval in the application thread on Aug. 31, 2026. The group’s application described plans for ongoing policymaker engagement and education about Zcash and privacy-preserving technology.

In a September update, the group said it had filed its lobbying registration and was analyzing the CLARITY Act, including its implications for developer protections.
