President Donald Trump said refinery problems, rather than the Strait of Hormuz, were pushing up gasoline prices, shifting attention from the key oil-shipping route to refining disruptions.

Trump said oil production was setting records almost daily. He said Russian refineries were being bombed by Ukraine and accused Democrats of closing refineries in blue states such as California.

Trump used the term “Dumocrats” to refer to Democrats.
