Department of Transportation Grants Aurora Five-Year Exemption for Self-Driving Trucks

The Department of Transportation granted Aurora Innovation and other self-driving trucking companies a five-year exemption from rules requiring warning devices around stopped trucks.

The exemption applies when a truck is stopped and removes the requirement for drivers to deploy those devices during covered self-driving trucking operations.
