CFTC Chairman Selig Sees Little Risk of Crypto Rules Reversal

Selig said durable rules should survive a change in administration and expressed confidence that Democrats would seek sound policy.

CFTC Chairman Selig said he sees little risk that a future Democratic administration would reverse current rules governing Bitcoin and the broader crypto market.

“Good rules will stand the test of time,” Selig said. He added that he did not see much risk of Democrats rolling the rules back and said, “I think they want to do the right thing.”

The comments signal confidence that rules viewed as sound could remain in place even if control of the White House changes.
