Leading the Future Raised $75.8 Million Through June 30
The AI-focused political committee listed $44.76 million in disbursements during the same period, while comparable Fairshake figures cover a different reporting period.

Leading the Future recorded $75.8 million in receipts through June 30, 2026, underscoring the scale of AI-focused political spending while leaving its broader election impact unmeasured.
The independent-expenditure-only committee listed $75,788,224.10 in receipts and $44,755,780.65 in disbursements from Aug. 15, 2025, through June 30, 2026. It was registered on Aug. 15, 2025, and is focused on influencing federal candidates and artificial-intelligence policy.
The committee’s activity coincided with New York’s 12th Congressional District Democratic primary on June 23. Micah C. Lasher won with 40,106 votes, or 38.99%, while Alex Bores received 35,822 votes, or 34.82%.
The election results establish the outcome but do not show that Leading the Future’s spending caused or determined it. The available figures also do not establish the committee’s effect on congressional pressure, legislation or policy.
Fairshake’s figures provide a separate benchmark for the size of crypto-backed political operations. Its 2025 year-end figures list $132,830,887 in receipts and $191,042,919 in cash on hand.
Those numbers cannot be treated as a direct comparison with Leading the Future’s receipts because they cover a different reporting period and measure different financial categories. Leading the Future’s receipts include money recorded through June 30, while Fairshake’s figures include year-end receipts and cash on hand.
The filings show that both committees have handled substantial sums, but they do not establish whether Leading the Future has matched Fairshake’s political influence or election impact. They also do not provide a measurable basis for claiming that AI-backed political spending has reproduced or failed to reproduce the results of crypto-backed spending.
Further comparisons will depend on later committee filings and additional election results during the 2026 cycle.
