Sen. Richard Blumenthal is investigating Tether’s financial relationship with Cantor Fitzgerald, seeking information about a connection that includes management of the stablecoin issuer’s U.S. reserve assets.
Blumenthal sent a request to Cantor Fitzgerald CEO Brandon Lutnick for details about the relationship between the two companies. The inquiry also covers other business interests involving the firms.
