3iQ Middle East Ltd. has received in-principle approval for a Category 4 license from the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Abu Dhabi Global Market, clearing an initial regulatory step for a UAE digital-asset business serving institutional investors.

The approval gives 3iQ a path to establish regulated operations in Abu Dhabi Global Market, the financial center in the United Arab Emirates. It forms part of 3iQ’s broader effort to expand its regulated digital-asset presence across major global markets.

3iQ has also partnered with Further, a UAE-based digital-asset investment manager. Through its 3iQ Managed Account Platform, known as QMAP, the company provides institutional investors with access to digital-asset investment strategies.

QMAP has attracted $100 million in seed funding tied to sovereign capital. The platform and the planned UAE business are intended to extend 3iQ’s institutional offering in the region.
