Kraken Parent Payward Receives Full Dubai VARA Approval
Kraken plans to launch in the United Arab Emirates with dirham deposits and withdrawals after receiving the regulator’s full approval.

Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has received full regulatory approval from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority, clearing a path for Kraken to expand into the United Arab Emirates.
Kraken plans to launch in the country with support for deposits and withdrawals in United Arab Emirates dirhams. The move extends the exchange’s regulated presence in Dubai, a major center for digital-asset businesses.
Payward previously received preliminary approval in May for broker-dealer and investment management licenses. The latest approval follows that earlier step and covers the company’s full regulatory authorization in Dubai.
The launch date for Kraken’s United Arab Emirates operations was not provided.
