CryptoUK will host a panel on the United Kingdom’s Market Abuse Regime for Cryptoassets, examining how crypto firms can apply the rules to market surveillance and compliance.

Representatives from TLT LLP, B2C2 Group, Zumopay and Solidus Labs will discuss the practical issues firms face under the regime, including the systems and data needed to monitor trading activity.

The discussion will also address how companies can distinguish legitimate trading from market abuse. Panelists are expected to focus on the compliance measures firms may need as regulatory expectations develop.

The Market Abuse Regime for Cryptoassets, known as MARC, is aimed at creating a safer trading environment for the United Kingdom’s crypto sector. The framework places greater attention on how firms identify and respond to potentially abusive market conduct.

An audience question-and-answer session will give participants an opportunity to raise compliance and surveillance issues with the panelists.
