Russian Strikes Leave 600,000 Without Power in Ukraine
The overnight attacks damaged 26 power-system facilities and four oil and gas sites, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

At least 600,000 people in Ukraine’s Kyiv and Kharkiv regions were without power after overnight Russian strikes on energy infrastructure, raising questions about a proposed pause in attacks on such facilities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the overnight assault caused significant damage at 26 power-system facilities and four sites in the oil and gas sector. He also said a ballistic missile struck energy infrastructure covered by the energy ceasefire U.S. President Donald Trump announced Sunday.
Ukraine has welcomed the proposed ceasefire. Russian officials have said talks are ongoing but have not confirmed that an agreement has been reached.
The proposal calls for Russia and Ukraine to stop attacking each other’s power facilities.
