Hex founder Richard Heart was detained in Istanbul on Oct. 14 under an Interpol Red Notice requested by Finland in 2024.

Istanbul police and Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization took part in the operation, and Heart’s wife was also detained. Finland requested the notice in 2024.

An Interpol Red Notice asks law enforcement agencies in member countries to locate and provisionally arrest a person while legal proceedings, such as extradition, are considered. It is not an international arrest warrant.

The Finnish case has conflicting descriptions, so no specific charge is included here.
