Roger Dassen said passage of the Match Act proposal after the U.S. midterm elections would accelerate China’s development of competing technology.

ASML CFO Roger Dassen called a U.S. proposal to restrict the company’s sales of deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography equipment to China a bad idea, saying passage after the midterm elections would accelerate Chinese development of competing technology.
