The SEC will hold a public roundtable Nov. 9 on machine-understandable data and Super Intelligence (SI), examining their use and related risks and costs as staff consider how to facilitate SI.

The meeting will examine how market participants and the investing public use machine-understandable data in SI solutions. The discussion will also cover SI itself and risks and costs related to both subjects.

“In the age of SI, high-quality information is critical,” said Joshua White, the SEC’s chief economist and director of the Division of Economic and Risk Analysis. White said participant feedback would help staff understand how the data is being used and consider how the agency can better facilitate SI.

The roundtable will be open to the public at SEC headquarters in Washington. It will be streamed live on the SEC website, with a recording available later. In-person attendance may be limited, and visitors will undergo security checks.

The Nov. 9 session is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. ET (14:00 UTC) to 3:30 p.m. ET (20:30 UTC).
