United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby Backs Wealth and Inheritance Taxes
Kirby said he would pay the taxes he advocated; his total compensation in 2025 was $32,282,253.

United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby backed a national wealth tax and inheritance taxes, including taxes that could approach 100% at some level, in an Oct. 18 interview.
Kirby said, “I would pay them,” after discussing both types of taxes. His statement referred to the taxes he advocated, rather than singling out the wealth tax alone.
Kirby’s total compensation in 2025 was $32,282,253, more than $32 million.
