The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) certified Boeing’s 737 Max 10 on Oct. 20, clearing a long-delayed regulatory hurdle for the largest aircraft in the company’s 737 Max family.

The approval follows a completed key safety review.

The decision resolves years of delays in certifying the Max 10. Boeing’s next scheduled quarterly results are due Oct. 27. Its third-quarter commercial aircraft delivery tally was a preliminary 161, including 124 737s; the figures remain preliminary until the results are released.
