SEC Resumes Processing Applications From AMF-Supervised Asset Managers
The pact covers SEC-regulated investment advisers and investment companies, plus investment service providers supervised by France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers.

The Securities and Exchange Commission will resume reviewing new and pending U.S. registration applications from asset managers overseen by France’s Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF), under a cooperation pact announced Oct. 20.
The memorandum sets out a framework for the regulators to consult and share information as they supervise firms. It covers investment advisers and investment companies regulated by the SEC, as well as investment service providers supervised by the AMF.
SEC Chair Paul S. Atkins said the agreement reflects “the necessary spirit of cooperation in securities regulation.”
